Dr. Glenn van As, D.M.D., B.Sc.

Dr. Glenn A. van As graduated in 1987 from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia, located in Vancouver, Canada. He soon went into private practice in Lynn Valley with his father Dr. A.W.H. van As. In October of 1988, they moved together into their new office - Canyon Dental Centre. Since that time, Glenn has built a high tech/high touch dental practice where the entire dental team is committed to using the latest technologies available in order to provide the highest level of clinical excellence in dentistry. The team at Canyon Dental Centre is dedicated to providing a high level of dentistry in a comfortable, warm and professional environment.
In addition to being in full time private practice, Dr. van As has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at U.B.C. from 1989-1999. His areas of interest and expertise involve the utilization of the Dental Operating Microscope for all of his clinical dentistry, and in the use of multiple wavelengths of hard and soft tissue dental lasers for many procedures in his private general practice. Since 1999, Glenn has lectured extensively internationally, provided hands-on workshops, and published globally on topics such as the value of multiple wavelengths of dental lasers and practicing with the high magnifications obtainable with the dental operating microscope.

Dr. James Jesse, D.D.S.

International Lecturer; Medical Director, AMD LASERS

Dr. James Jesse graduated from Loma Linda University's acclaimed School of Dentistry in 1973. He has been running a private practice in Colton, California for the past 34 years. In addition to his busy practice, Dr. Jesse has returned to his Alma Mater as an assistant professor teaching laser dentistry and esthetics to hundreds of dental students. He is also part time faculty at the Columbia University's School of Dentistry in New York. Dr. Jesse completed a two year implant course at Loma Linda University from 1974 to 1976, and is a pioneer in the implementation of lasers and implantology. Bone grafting has also been a large part of Dr. Jesse's practice over the past 10 years. He is actively placing and lecturing on bone grafting. Dr. Jesse is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics, and the Academy of Operative Dentistry. Dr. Jesse has lectured to audiences in 35 countries on topics ranging from lasers to implants to general endodontics. Today, Dr. Jesse is leading research on many diode laser applications, including new treatments in laser perio, laser endodontics, and laser implantology.

Dr. David S. Hornbrook, D.D.S., F.A.A.C.D.

International Lecturer

Dr. David Hornbrook graduated from UCLA School of dentistry and currently practices in San Diego CA. He has been a guest faculty member of the post-graduate programs in Cosmetic Dentistry at Baylor, Tufts, SUNY at Buffalo, UMKC, and the UCLA Center of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has consulted with numerous manufacturers' in product development and refinement and is on the editorial board of Practical Procedures & Aesthetic Dentistry, Contemporary Esthetics, Signature, and is the past editor of the Journal of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also the current clinical editor of the Dental Practice Report, as well as a member of the Esthetic Dentistry Research Group, which publishes REALITY and REALITY NOW. He is an accredited member and Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He was the founder and past director of P.A.C.~live, and "The Hornbrook Group Aesthetic Seminars". He has lectured internationally on all facets of esthetic dentistry and has published articles in most of the leading dental journals.

Dr. Chris L. Owens, D.D.S.

International Lecturer

Dr. Chris L. Owens is a 1988 Graduate of LSU Dental School in New Orleans, Louisiana and is the founder and owner of Advanced Laser Training, Inc. Dr. Owens has lectured all over the world on subjects ranging from Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry to High Tech Laser Dentistry. He is a founding member of the WCLI (World Clinical Laser Institute) where he has received his Mastership Status as a certified laser educator.
Dr. Owens is a past board member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry where he served on numerous committees and is in a unique position to advise students as they enter the World of Organized Laser Dentistry. Dr. Owens accomplishments include writing multiple articles for publication on laser and implant dentistry as well as presenting hundreds of lectures on high tech dentistry and dental lasers.

Dr. Ron Kaminer, D.D.S.

International Lecturer

Dr. Ron Kaminer graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1990. He subsequently completed a two year postgraduate Advanced Dentistry residency at Northshore Hospital on Long Island. Dr. Kaminer is a noted author, and teacher on topics such as laser dentistry, minimally invasive dentistry and high tech dentistry. He was recently awarded the Mastership from the World Clinical Laser Institute. Dr. Kaminer maintains a teaching appointment at Peninsula Hospital in Queens where he trains post graduate residents in advanced pediatric and cosmetic education. Dr. Kaminer has lectured nationally on the subject of lasers in dentistry, teaching dentists how to integrate dental laser technology in their practice. He is a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and the Academy of Operative Dentistry. Dr Kaminer runs a comprehensive state-of-the-art practice private in Hewlett and Oceanside.

Dr. Gerald Bittner Jr., D.D.S.

Lecturer

Dr. Bittner earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1985 from San Francisco's University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Since then, he's continually added to his professional education with over 300 annual credit hours, in courses covering both the function and esthetics of creating beautiful, healthy smiles. Further, Dr. Bittner has completed a full residency at the local VA Hospital, plus numerous mini-residencies in areas such as occlusion, oral surgery, endodontics, and oral sedation, serving to give him a broad perspective of all aspects of dental health. Dr. Bittner combines an exceptional education, extensive clinical experience, and long-standing personal dedication to improving people's dental health. Dr. Bittner Jr. is a clinical instructor with the Rosenthal Group teaching other dentists the art of cosmetic dentistry. He is also in lectures extensively nationwide.

Dr. Philip M. Hudson, D.D.S.

Lecturer and Author of "Diode Laser: Soft Tissue Surgery."

Dr. Philip M. Hudson is a 1972 graduate of the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, and maintains a full-time family practice in Spokane, Washington. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, the Spokane District Dental Society, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, the World Clinical Laser Institute, Asia Pacific Laser Institute, and the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry. He holds the Mastership Level of educational certification with the World Clinical Laser Institute (WCLI), is an Examiner for the Asia Pacific Laser Institute (APLI), and currently holds Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD) Advanced Proficiency Certification in three laser wavelengths, has served in numerous capacities within the Academy of Laser Dentistry, and has been recognized by the Academy as a Dental Laser Educator and a Standard Proficiency Dental Laser Course Provider. He is an instructor for Advanced Laser Training and The Center for Exceptional Dentistry, and is a Partner in Team Laser Training of North America. He has taught courses at The Las Vegas Institute, and at the HOYA Conbio College of Laser Dentistry at L.V.I. A Founding Member, Life Member, Fellow and Diplomate of the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry, he has received its Leadership Award, and has lectured nationally and internationally at hundreds of conferences on a variety of conservative-care related subjects. Since 1990, he has utilized the following lasers in his practice: Nd:YAG, Argon, CO2, Diode (660, 810, 904, 940 and 980 nm wavelengths), Er:YAG, and ErCr:YSGG. He currently has twelve lasers in his practice, including two low level laser therapy instruments.
Dr. Hudson and Jan, his wife of 41 years, have 7 children and 17 grandchildren. When not practicing dentistry or lecturing he spends his time with his family at Priest Lake, nestled in the Selkirk Mountains of the North Idaho Panhandle.
